Tuuli Reads the Wind
SOLD
Tuuli watches tiny foam bubbles, left on the shore by waves, float in the wind like miniscule eggs full of ready-to-hatch dreams.
Tuuli lives with the wind as a partner; listens to the air; can determine when the rain will arrive; predicts what the pressure of the river's swell will bring.
An expert in situational awareness, being still, having patience, allowing reflection and gaining focus, Tuuli's main concern is guiding the sedge's daily activities according to the weather.

Acrylic, reclaimed paper and ink on watercolor paper, matted and framed

Eddie's Mohawk Wilts in the Florida Heat
SOLD
At 43 years, Eddie is the oldest member of the flamboyance, and gloriously outside the so-called norm for the species.
Despite Eddie's acceptance of the others in the group, they have not responded in kind. Flamingos will ostracize those members they don't like. This is of no great concern; Eddie focuses on cultivating a brooding "loner" mystique, improving crucial camouflage skills, and perfecting the ultimate mohawk.
Eddie's great-great-grandmother was once featured on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, which you would think would bring some modicum of celebrity status, but Eddie says a lack of imagination and short attention spans among the flamboyance ensure there is no ongoing record of ancestral history. Eddie is a little hurt by this.
